Ajir Research Labs
Structured intelligence for the age of infinite social media.
Social media and AI-generated content have outpaced human cognition. Short-form video, generative AI, and engagement-optimized algorithms have created an environment where information moves faster than verification, reasoning, or understanding.
The result is not only misinformation — it is epistemic fatigue: a gradual erosion of the ability to question, contextualize, and think independently.
Ajir Research Labs exists to address this.
What we’re building
Ajir Research Labs is developing askNoema, an AI-augmented social intelligence platform designed to analyze and transform raw social media content into structured, verifiable knowledge and information.
Noema performs multimodal analysis of short-form content — video, images, audio, text, and metadata — to extract meaning, assess credibility, and surface context directly at the point of consumption. Instead of requiring users to leave the feed to “do research,” credibility analysis and reasoning are embedded into the feed itself.
Design principles
- The user interacts with information , not virality — prioritizing depth, clarity, and meaningful understanding over engagement metrics.
- AI is used for analysis , not content generation — supporting reasoning, verification, and structured thinking rather than noise.
- Knowledge compounds instead of disappearing into timelines — creating continuity, memory, and long-term intellectual value.
- Misinformation is flagged contextually , not retroactively policed — enabling real-time clarity without suppressing inquiry.
- The system is designed to think with the user , not for them—preserving agency, reflection, and independent judgment.
How Noema works
Noema operates as a session-persistent, infinite-scroll system with no hard endpoints.
As users consume content:
- Engagement signals are recorded to understand interaction patterns while preserving meaning over manipulation.
- Context is constructed in real-time, allowing information to remain situationally aware, coherent, and continuously relevant.
- AI overlay generate structured understanding responses that organize complexity into clarity without replacing human reasoning.
- Bias, uncertainty, and AI-generated content are surfaced where relevant so interpretation remains transparent, critical, and intellectually honest.
- Verified references are provided when available to ground insights in traceable knowledge rather than unsupported claims.
Every meaningful interaction becomes part of an evolving knowledge graph — automatically documented, updated, and retrievable.
Why this matters
The current trajectory of generative AI risks producing passive users — individuals who consume answers without understanding how those answers were formed.
As AI-generated media scales, trust in digital information continues to erode. Misaligned narratives, synthetic rhetoric, and automated persuasion increasingly shape public perceptions. Ajir Research is designed to reverse this trajectory.
Friction is restored where it matters — in reasoning —
while friction is removed everywhere else.
This is not post-deliberative cognition.
It is reasoning augmentation.
Status
Ajir Research is currently in active system design and early development. Noema, the first platform developed by the lab, is in early architectural and prototyping stages.
Current focus areas include:
- Core system architecture designed to support scalable reasoning, structured knowledge flow, and long-term epistemic stability.
- Multimodal analysis pipelines integrating text, visual, and contextual signals into unified interpretive understanding.
- Feed-level reasoning interfaces transforming passive consumption into interactive, reflective engagement with information.
- Machine learning and AI systems development focused on transparent intelligence, adaptive learning, and human-aligned cognition.
There is no public product release at this time.
