Ajir Research Labs

Building infrastructure for reasoning in the age of infinite media.

Ajir Research Labs is an independent research and systems lab focused on structured intelligence, knowledge integrity, and human reasoning in high-velocity media environments.

The core problem is no longer a simple lack of information. It is an excess of fast, persuasive, decontextualized media moving through feeds quicker than people can verify, compare, or interpret it.

We are building systems that slow the right parts down: claims, context, uncertainty, and evidence. The goal is not to automate thought. The goal is to support it.

What we’re building

Ajir Research Labs is developing askNoema, an AI-native social intelligence platform designed to transform short-form media into structured, verifiable knowledge at the point of consumption.

askNoema is being designed around multimodal analysis of video, audio, text, and metadata, with responses that remain locked to the content a user is actually viewing. Instead of asking users to leave the feed and do manual reconstruction, the system is meant to surface context, extracted claims, evidence cues, and missing information directly inside the media flow.

Design principles

How askNoema is intended to work

The system is being designed for session-persistent media consumption rather than isolated chat prompts.

When a user engages with a piece of content:

The long-term ambition is a feed where explanation, verification, and inquiry are native behaviors rather than external chores.

Why this matters

Generative AI can accelerate production of language and media far faster than it improves human understanding. In that environment, persuasive fluency becomes easy and verification becomes expensive.

That mismatch creates epistemic passivity: people receive conclusions, rhetoric, and recommendations without seeing the reasoning path underneath them. Ajir Research Labs exists to reverse that tendency.

We are interested in friction where it improves judgment, not friction that blocks access. The objective is reasoning augmentation: tools that strengthen inspection, comparison, and interpretation instead of replacing them.

Status

Ajir Research Labs is currently in active system design and early development. askNoema is in the architecture and prototyping stage.
